Scott blogs Sundance Film Festival 2009: Day 4

Day 4 of Sundance Film Festival 2009 has come and gone and what a fun day it was. We got in super early in the morning after watching ‘Mystery Team’ with the cast and crew of the film and it was an early start to make it for ‘Spread‘, which is the Ashton Kutcher version of ‘Shampoo’.

After that we did some work at Head Quarters, and then headed to main street since I hadn’t hung out there that much. To my surprise there were ‘Black Dynamite’ posters EVERYWHERE! Here is one I snapped around town:

Went back to the Yarrow for a screening of ‘The Carter‘ which gives you a pretty in depth look at the biggest rapper in the world right now, Lil Wayne. More work after that and until the screening of ‘Paper Heart‘, followed by ‘500 Days of Summer‘, both of which were very good.

The condo guys then went off to the premier of ‘Black Dynamite’ which was sold out and I couldn’t get my press comp for, so I had to settle on going to the after party, see the movie on Tuesday(my Birthday) and hanging out with Scott Sanders, Michael Jai and Adrian Younge. After waiting for the guys to get out of the premier, they wussed out so I ventured out with the Bob Stencil crew for the party. Now if you have never been to a celebrity packed after party I would suggest that you definitely get out and hit some of those… if you are on the guest list!

I took some good video footage of the party which I will be posting in a couple of hours, but for now you will have to settle for these pictures:

Let me say that there were lots of models and porn stars around that were waiting to find some celebrities in the hope of hooking up with one. Then were were some crazy 1/4 shirt wearing dancers that… danced a lot and attracted all the guys their way. All of the ‘Black Dynamite’ cast were there and hanging out, talked to Michael Jai for a little bit about the flick and hoping that it would get bought(It did, for 2 million and it went to Sony). The Bob Stencil crew were kind enough to drive my drunk ass back to the condo because who can resist an open bar with all the Grey Goose you can handle? Not I.

Things are a blast here at Sundance, and if you have never been down here then I suggest you make it a point to come… Until tomorrow.
