Liam O’Donnell Science Fiction Disaster Film SKYLINE RADIAL Announced

XYZ Media BEYOND SKYLINE

Liam O’Donnell (Beyond Skyline, Skylines) will direct Skyline Radial, the fourth installment in the series, from his own script, with the original producing team of the franchise returning to produce. Released in 2010, the original in the series, Skyline, co-written and produced by O’Donnell, was an international box office success and one of the more profitable films of the year.

O’Donnell went on to write and direct the subsequent two sequels, Beyond Skyline (review) and Skylines, (review) to success overseas.

Skyline Radial will center on the franchise’s beloved main character Rose Corley. When Rose and her crew embark on a daring mission to rescue her father, Mark, from a secret prison, they are confronted with the ultimate power of the universe: an ancient alien race known only as The Radial. The latest film is currently casting, with key cast expected to return. Production is slated to start this year.

Watch Frank Grillo In New Trailer For BEYOND SKYLINE

The new trailer is here for BEYOND SKYLINE, Liam O’Donnell’s sci-fi sequel to SKYLINE.

Starring Frank Grillo, Bojana Novakovic, Jonny Weston, Yayan Ruhian, and Iko Uwais, the film opens in theaters, alongside that other little sci-fi film, on December 15.

Frank Grillo has starred in the highly successful PURGE franchise, THE GREY, as Brock Rumlow / Crossbones in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR and in the upcoming Netflix movie WHEELMAN, to be released on October 20, 2017.

In BEYOND SKYLINE, when the population of Los Angeles is vacuumed off the face of the earth, Detective Mark Corley (Grillo) storms his way onto an alien ship to rescue his estranged son. But after crashing the ship in Southeast Asia, he must forge an alliance with a band of survivors to discover the key to saving his son and taking back the planet once and for all.

SKYLINE Alien Invasion Trailer

If I told you that strange lights were descending on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame, where an extraterrestrial force was threatening to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth, would you be mildly worried? Hell, I know I’d be. Even the tagline “Don’t Look Up” warns us in this first teaser trailer for Universal Pictures SKYLINE. Man, whatever happened to the “we come in peace” aliens of CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND?

I’d say this the part where we all put on our coneshaped, tin-foiled hats so that the aliens can’t read our thoughts. Ahem. But we all know who accurately predicted  how things would go down with meeting aliens. Not Hawking, but Dr. Peter Venkman of GHOSTBUSTERS 2. He warned us years ago on his show “World of the Psychic” when he said, “… and that is the whole problem with aliens is you just can’t trust them. Occasionally you meet a nice once: Star Man, E.T… But usually they turn out to be some kind of big lizard!”
