The big screen adaptation of KANE AND LYNCH, super violent video game about convicted death row murderers, may have gotten its first name attached. Bruce Willis is somewhat being confirmed to play Adam ‘Kane’ Marcus, who in the game is a convicted murderer who killed 25 people in Venezuela. While being bused to Death Row, he and another death row inmate James Seth Lynch are kidnapped and taken hostage by their former employers known as ‘The7’.

One of the films producers Adrian Askarieh recently said in an interview with Game Daily that Bruce Willis would definitely star as Kane and that they start filming in March of 2010. He also mentioned that they would be casting Lynch soon, even though it has been rumored to have been cast as Billy Bob Thornton.

I am pretty freaking excited to see this game on the big screen, especially if they parlay the feel of the game properly. Seeing Bruce Willis as a psychopathic killer will also be quite a treat.

Bruce Willis to Star in ‘Kane & Lynch’

I’m not a big gamer but a couple of months ago I had a opportunity to play this game and to my surprise, this was a really great game! I’m not to keen on the idea of games that are turned into big hyped movies, I mean I loved Hitman Game’s but the movie ended up being a big letdown! Now, Max Payne sounds a little better maybe because of Wahlberg and Kunis. I love the acting and I take the cast in films seriously so this might actually turn out well since Bruce Willis is a badass!

Variety Reports: Bruce Willis is negotiating to star in Kane & Lynch, Lionsgate’s adaptation of the Eidos Entertainment video game “Kane & Lynch: Dead Men,”.

Simon Crane will make his feature directing debut, after serving as second unit director and stunt coordinator on such films as Hancock, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Troy and X-Men: The Last Stand. He is currently working with Willis as the stunt coordinator on the Jonathan Mostow-directed The Surrogates for Touchstone Pictures.

Willis will play Adam “Kane” Marcus, a mercenary who makes an unlikely alliance with a schizophrenic killer named James Lynch. The duo is forced on a mission to retrieve a stolen microchip.

Kyle Ward wrote the script. Filmmakers are now looking to set an actor to play Lynch, and shooting will begin before year’s end.

Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter will produce with Jason Blumenthal and Todd Black, and the Willis Brothers Co.
