Second INCEPTION Trailer Turns the World on Its Ear

It was released to theaters last Friday in front of SHERLOCK HOLMES (those of us lucky enough to catch early screening of HOLMES got to see the trailer earlier in the week), but Warner Brothers and Apple have finally put the second trailer to Christopher Nolan’s next, INCEPTION, online. How is it?   In a word, OHMYFRIGGINGOD!   This movie looks so epic and amazing.   The CG appears flawless, and, even though the second trailer doesn’t give us much more in the way of story than what we got with the first trailer, you just know Nolan is going to put story first.

Anyone who remembers 2006 will remember that even the side projects Nolan has been doing away from the BATMAN franchise are on par with the best stories put to film.   It’s no surprise that Nolan has four films (THE DARK KNIGHT, MEMENTO, THE PRESTIGE, and BATMAN BEGINS) on IMDB’s top 25 movies of the decade, and, with a little added spoiler warning, all of those films are probably going to rear their beautiful heads on WAMG’s top 100 films of the decade (to be run tomorrow).

With INCEPTION and the inevitability that is BATMAN 3, it’s looking like ten years from now, looking back over the 100 best films of the decade (2010-2019), we are sure to have even more Christopher Nolan brilliance to tout about.

You can check out the 2nd trailer for INCEPTION in HD right here!   INCEPTION is set to hit theaters July 16th, 2010.

INCEPTION’s Second Poster

Yes, this second poster for Christopher Nolan’s new film, INCEPTION, is very cool.  It comes to us from the film’s official site, where you can create mazes and have others try to work their way through them.  What is really cool is the idea of the city shaping itself to form the letter of the title, something that is both shocking and awesome in the film’s second trailer, which will surely hit the Internet any day this week.

This film is quickly growing to be at the very top of my and most everyone else’s “must see” list, and 2010 looks to be a banner year for one Leonardo DiCaprio.  God bless Nolan for bringing such a diverse and amazing cast together, as well, which includes DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.  More than a couple of actors on this list are quickly working their way up that “best actors working today” ladder, something I’m sure Nolan realizes.

INCEPTION hits both IMAX and conventional theaters on July 16th, 2010.

INCEPTION Poster Premiere!

Inceptionsite

The official website for INCEPTION (the new film by THE DARK KNIGHT mastermind Christopher Nolan) premiered the new poster for the film after you, the user, complete a maze of sorts. I am really digging the vibe of this poster, yet noted by JoBlo, what’s with the CHIGAGO font? Anyone? A new trailer for the film will be shown before SHERLOCK HOLMES on Christmas Day, but until then, here is the teaser poster! (If you wanna try your hand at the game and see if you can find the poster yourself, click the link or the picture at the top of the post!)

Teaser for ‘Inception’ Hits

inception teaser

When word came down that the teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s new, sci-fi thriller, ‘Inception,’ would be attached in front of ‘Inglourious Basterds,’ I thought to myself, “Great, another teaser where all we get is a logo and maybe one shot from the film.”   Little did I know how much of the film has already been shot and how polished what has been shot looks.

See for yourself courtesy of Yahoo! Movies:

It kind of reminds me of the first teaser for ‘The Matrix,’ where you had no idea what the film was about, but you knew it looked amazing.

‘Inception’ is set for release on July 16th, 2010.

The announcement is a few weeks late, but principal photography on Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi ‘Inception’ began on July 13th.   Filming began in England, and the production is looking to span across three continents.   Shooting will also be taking place in Paris, Tangiers, Calgary and Los Angeles. Ken Watanabe and Tom Hardy have signed on appear in Christopher Nolan’s next film, ‘Inception.’Â   They join a cast that already boasts Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page and Marion Cotillard.

The film is a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.   DiCaprio plays a CEO, Watanabe will play a man who blackmails the CEO, and Hardy will play a member of the CEO’s team.

The film begins shooting some time this Summer for a tentative release on July 16, 2010.

Joseph Gordon Levitt joins Nolan’s ‘Inception’

Yet another A-list name has been attached to appear in Christopher Nolan’s next film, a smaller-scale sci-fi thriller of his own creation called ‘Inception’. Already boasting the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page, the film now adds Joseph Gordon Levitt to the mix. He is apparently filling the role originally offered to James Franco, who had to turn the role down due to scheduling conflicts. Levitt will play the role of an associate to Leo’s CEO-type character.

Murphy, Cotillard and Page join ‘Inception’

Highly-acclaimed director of the new Batman saga, Christopher Nolan, is well on his way to making his next film, but it’s not another Batman… yet. Instead, this one will be a smaller scale science-fiction movie called ‘Inception’ from a script of his own writing.

Nolan has already secured Leonardo DiCaprio in the starring role of his movie and is now negotiating possible deals with the remaining cast. The studio is currently in talks with Cillian Murphy, Marion Cotillard and Ellen Page to round out the cast.

The subject matter has been kept under tight wraps, with the studio describing the film as a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind. — Variety

Details of the script have been kept well protected. Nolan will also produce the film for Warner Brothers, along side Emma Thomas. Production is set to begin Summer 2009 for a 2010 release.

DiCaprio On Board Nolan’s ‘Inception’

Leonardo DiCaprio will star in Christopher Nolan’s science fiction film ‘Inception’. Â  This will serve as Nolan’s “Between ‘Batman’ Films” film, as the man wrote and will direct the film.

The storyline is being kept under tight wraps, but the studio refers to it as a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.

The film shoots later this year with a tentative release date some time in Summer 2010.

What do you think? Â  Is it good for DiCaprio and Nolan to team up? Â  Will this be a good film for Nolan to work on between ‘Batman’ films? Â  Does this open any potentiality for DiCaprio to step into the next ‘Batman’ film in some form? Â  Let us know by commenting below!
