Marvel’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Trailer Is Here

So much for debuting next Tuesday during “Marvel’s Agents of Shield” on ABC as was originally promoted.

Get your first look at Ultron trying to tear apart Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and the rest of the world in the first official teaser trailer for Marvel’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, in theaters May 1, 2015.

Marvel Studios presents AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time.

When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Marvel’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk.

Chris Hemsworth Stars In First Trailer for Ron Howard’s IN THE HEART OF THE SEA

Watch the first trailer for Ron Howard’s action adventure IN THE HEART OF THE SEA, based on Nathaniel Philbrick’s best-selling book about the dramatic true journey of the Essex. The film is scheduled to open on March 13, 2015 in theatres and IMAX.

In the winter of 1820, the New England whaling ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, and an almost human sense of vengeance.

The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. But that told only half the story.

IN THE HEART OF THE SEA reveals the encounter’s harrowing aftermath, as the ship’s surviving crew is pushed to their limits and forced to do the unthinkable to stay alive. Braving storms, starvation, panic and despair, the men will call into question their deepest beliefs, from the value of their lives to the morality of their trade, as their captain searches for direction on the open sea and his first mate still seeks to bring the great whale down.

The film stars Chris Hemsworth (“The Avengers,” “Rush”) as the vessel’s veteran first mate Owen Chase; Benjamin Walker (“Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”) as its inexperienced Captain, George Pollard; Cillian Murphy (“The Dark Knight Rises”) as second mate Matthew Joy; and Ben Whishaw (“Skyfall”) as novelist Herman Melville, whose inquiries into the event 30 years later helped bring the story to light.

Tom Holland (“The Impossible”) also stars as young seaman Tom Nickerson, and Brendan Gleeson (“Edge of Tomorrow”) as the same man, 30 years later. Spanish actor Jordi Mollà (“Riddick”) is the captain of another ship, the Archimedes, who tries to warn the Essex of what may lie ahead.

Howard directed from a screenplay by Charles Leavitt (“Blood Diamond”), story by Charles Leavitt and Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”), based on the book In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick, winner of the 2000 National Book Award for Nonfiction.

The behind-the-scenes creative team includes Oscar-winning director of photography Anthony Dod Mantle (“Slumdog Millionaire,” “Rush”); production designer Mark Tildesley (“The Fifth Estate”); Oscar-winning editors Mike Hill (“Apollo 13,” “Rush”) and Dan Hanley (“Apollo 13”); costume designer Julian Day (“Rush”) and composer Roque Baños (“Evil Dead”).

From Warner Bros. Pictures, IN THE HEART OF THE SEA has been rated PG-13 by the MPAA for intense sequences of action and peril, brief startling violence, and thematic material.

Michael Mann’s BLACKHAT Movie Gets A First Trailer – Stars Chris Hemsworth And Viola Davis

Hitting theaters at the beginning of 2015, here’s a look at the brand new trailer for BLACKHAT, starring Chris Hemsworth and Viola Davis.

Principal Photography Begins On New Line Cinema’s VACATION Starring Ed Helms and Christina Applegate

“It’s a Long Way Down The Holiday Road!”

The next generation of Griswolds is at it again. Shooting has begun in Georgia on New Line Cinema’s VACATION, starring Ed Helms (“The Hangover” films) and Christina Applegate (the “Anchorman” films) on the road for another ill-fated adventure.

The film marks Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley’s directorial debut.

Following in his father’s footsteps and hoping for some much-needed family bonding, a grown-up Rusty Griswold (Helms) surprises his wife, Debbie (Applegate), and their two sons with a cross-country trip back to America’s “favorite family fun park,” Walley World.

Rounding out the cast are Chris Hemsworth (the “Thor” films) in the role of Stone Crandall, Rusty’s irritatingly successful brother-in-law; Charlie Day (the “Horrible Bosses” films), who plays a river rafting guide; and Skyler Gisondo (“Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb,” “Hard Sell”) and Steele Stebbins (“A Haunted House 2”), who play Rusty’s sons, James and Kevin.

Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold from the classic “Vacation” comedies.

Goldstein & Daley (“Horrible Bosses,” “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2”) wrote the script, based on characters created by John Hughes. David Dobkin (upcoming “The Judge,” “Wedding Crashers”) and Chris Bender (“We’re the Millers,” upcoming “Horrible Bosses 2”) are producing, with Marc S. Fischer serving as executive producer.

The directors’ behind-the-scenes creative team also includes director of photography Barry Peterson (the “Jump Street” films, “We’re the Millers”), production designer Barry Robison (“Wedding Crashers,” “Pitch Perfect”), and costume designer Debra McGuire (“Ted”).

Watch Josh Brolin Intro As Thanos At AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Comic Con Panel; Plus ANT-MAN in Hall H (Videos)

“This place may be the weirdest, craziest place I’ve ever been,” said actor James Spader (“Ultron”) on Comic Con. “It’s really fantastically crazy.”

Marvel brought their A game to the Hall H audience at Comic Con 2014. The studio’s biggest announcement on Saturday was the sequel to GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY ahead of its release on Friday, Aug 1.

For those who couldn’t make it to San Diego, here’s a look at the panel from AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON where it was officially revealed that Josh Brolin will be seen and heard as the villain Thanos in director James Gunn’s GUARDIANS film, as well as in future movies for Marvel Studios.

New Photos & Concept Art Posters For Marvel’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

In their annual Comic Con issue, Entertainment Weekly had the first photos for Joss Whedon’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. You may have seen them in EW’s magazine or online, but in case you missed them, we got them all for you right here.

Earlier this year when shooting began in March and before CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER was released in April, producer Kevin Feige discussed how it related to AGE OF ULTRON.

“CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER was set up to be the Phase 2 lynchpin between MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS and AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. The Marvel Cinematic Universe changes dramatically by the end of the film, and that was by design.”

“We really wanted Captain America to be responsible for altering the Cinematic Universe so that when we meet all of our characters at the beginning of “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” things are very different than when we left the characters at the end of “Marvel’s The Avengers” and partially that’s the experience Tony Stark went through in “Iron Man 3” and partially that’s the experience of what Thor went through in “Thor: The Dark World,” but primarily it’s because of the adventure that Captain America goes on in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

THOR’s Chris Hemsworth To Announce Oscar Nominations On Thursday, January 16

Actor Chris Hemsworth and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Cheryl Boone Isaacs will announce the 86th Academy Awards nominations on Thursday, January 16.

Boone Isaacs and Hemsworth will unveil the nominations at a 5:38 a.m. PT live news conference at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, where hundreds of media representatives (including WAMG) from around the world will be gathered.

Nominations information for all categories will be distributed simultaneously to news media in attendance and via the Internet on the official Academy Awards website, www.oscar.com.

Hemsworth made his feature film debut in 2009’s “Star Trek,” but it was his title role in “Thor” two years later that propelled him to worldwide prominence. He reprised the character in the Marvel blockbusters “The Avengers” and “Thor: The Dark World.” Hemsworth’s other feature credits include “Snow White and the Huntsman” and “Rush,” and he has starring roles in “Cyber” and “In the Heart of the Sea,” both due out next year.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2013 will be presented on Oscar Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center and televised live on the ABC.

The race was on in London, England on Monday as drivers and stars arrived at the world premiere for director Ron Howard’s RUSH. Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Brühl, Olivia Wilde and Ron Howard walked the red carpet at Odeon Leicester Square prior to the film’s debut in the UK on Friday, September 13.
