Watch The Personal Message From James Gunn To SUPERMAN Fans And Official Footage From Teaser – First Trailer TOMORROW!
From the introduction of Adventures of Superman (1952-1958):
Announcer : Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!
Voices : Look, up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Superman!
Announcer : Yes, it’s Superman, strange visitor from another planet, who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. Superman, who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel in his bare hands, and who, disguised as Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice and the American way.
Check out the first footage from SUPERMAN in today’s teaser for the teaser trailer that debuts Thursday morning!
Listen to director James Gunn’s heartfelt message to fans of DC’s first superhero appearing in ACTION COMICS #1 (1938).
Previously Gunn met with SMALLVILLE’s Lex Luthor, actor Michael Rosenbaum (THE BEST LEX LUTHOR, btw), on his YouTube show “Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum” and it’s a great conversation about the upcoming movie.
When asked what is his DC favorite movie of all time, Gunn says without a doubt, “the first Superman.”
The two talk about the new film at the 1:07:53 mark.
Starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent / Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Milly Alcock as Supergirl, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr. and Christopher Reeve’s son, Will Reeve, as a TV reporter, the SUPERMAN score is from composer John Murphy.
See SUPERMAN in theaters this summer on July 11.
