“I’m just a sweet transvestite, from Transsexual Transylvania.”
Flustered Mustard wishes everyone a Merry Christmas with by hosting a screening of ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW Saturday December 25th at midnight at The Melba Theater in Desoto, MO. (300 S Main St, De Soto, MO 63020). Tickets can be purchased in advance HERE. A Facebook invite for the event can be found HERE
Back by popular demand, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is returning to The Melba Theatre on Saturday, December 25th! Eager to return? Great! We can’t wait to have you! Never seen it? Throw on your mother’s high heels and fishnets, ’cause you’re in for a treat!
The longest-running midnight movie of all time stars Tim Curry as the kinky yet endearing “transsexual from Transylvania” Dr. Frank N. Furter, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick as his hapless guests Brad and Janet, Meat Loaf as motorcycle-riding rough trade and author Richard O’Brien as the hunchbacked butler Riff Raff. It’s harmless musical fun—a delightful spoof of Hollywood horror movies and Old Dark House melodramas. Become a part of the movie by shouting out lines with the cast as well as throwing props to mock the action on screen. The Rocky Horror Picture Show was the first—and is still the best—interactive movie experience!
Dressing up is HIGHLY encouraged! Rocky Horror isn’t Rocky Horror without the corsets and lipstick.
Outside prop bags *will* be allowed (and encouraged!). It’s a lot more fun, and cheap, to pack your own throwables. Pat-downs will happen at the door, so please use common sense (dangerous items will not be allowed in). Prop bags will be for sale at the door for as well and cost $3.00. We will also have a whole slew of t-shirts, stickers, buttons, and other items for sale as well. A discount of $1.00 off your total sales table purchase will be given to those who show up in costume as characters from the film.
Advance tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite, here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/226079518927
Tickets can also be purchased in-person at the box office as well. Tickets are $5.00, or dress up as a character from the film and receive a $1.00 discount. Seating is first come/first served, so we suggest arriving early. Doors open around 11:00PM, Virgin Sacrifice starts at 11:30PM, movie rolls at 12:00AM (Midnight). The event usually lets out around 1:30AM.
