THE BOXER’S OMEN Screens in 35mm June 6th at Webster University
Kuei Chih-hung’s THE BOXER’S OMEN (1983) screens in 35mm at Webster University’s Moore Auditorium (470 East Lockwood) Thursday June 6th, The screening begin at 7:30. Facebook invite can be found HERE
A gonzo horror film with scarcely any antecedent, likened on AGFA’s website as being something of a cross between The Holy Mountain, Altered States and Rocky, but perhaps most tonally comparable to Shaw’s own Seeding of a Ghost(released the same year), The Boxer’s Omen is horror as confusing drug-hangover nightmare. If you ask someone to explain it to you, you’re missing the point.
Screening from a 35mm print courtesy of the American Genre Film Archive.
Admission is:
$7 for the general public
$6 for seniors, Webster alumni and students from other schools
