Meet Brainiac, Zod, Doomsday And Lobo Before SyFy’s KRYPTON Series Returns On June 12

By  |

The second season of Krypton returns June 12 at 10/9c on SYFY.

Before the new season hits in a month, check out these featurettes about General Zod, Brainiac, Doomsday, but the best addition of “baddies” is without a doubt Lobo aka “The Last Czarnian,” “Ultimate Bastich,” “Master Frag,” “Machete Man,” and “ARCHBISHOP OF THE CELESTIAL CHURCH OF THE TRIPLE FISH COD!”

Check out this teaser now.

The first season is streaming on DC Universe – a must for any DC Comics fan. (Hand raised).

“Lobo on the page is such a broad character, and the tone of our show is so grounded, so it feels like a bit of a mismatch, but that’s kind of what’s exciting about it as well,” executive producer Cameron Welsh told SYFY WIRE last summer. “He’s not going to ride around on space dolphins like he did in the comics, but he’s meant to feel like a contrast to everything else we’ve seen.”

What if Superman never existed? Set two generations before the destruction of Superman’s home planet, KRYPTON follows Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe – The Halcyon), the legendary Man of Steel’s grandfather, who is faced with a life and death conflict – save his home planet or let it be destroyed in order to restore the fate of his future grandson. With Krypton’s leadership in disarray and the House of El ostracized, Seg must balance the quest to redeem his family’s honor and protect the ones he loves while being challenged by familiar DC characters Brainiac (Blake Ritson – Da Vinci’s Demons) and Earthly time-traveler Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos – The Vampire Diaries).

And what of other characters in the DC/Superman universe that may make an appearance in KRYPTON? At San Diego Comic Con last summer Cuffe said, “The origins of Nightwing and Flamebird will be explored.”
