COMIC GEEKS Season One Premieres Tonight at Webster University

St. Louis-area comic book readers and film fans have the opportunity to support locally-produced filmmakers who are combining your nerdy interests into one hilarious web series: Comic Geeks. Season One premieres tonight (May 29th) at Webster University’s Moore Auditorium (470 East Lockwood) . This is a FREE event. A Facebook invite can be found HERE

The wait is over! Comic Geeks Season One premieres!

Comic Geeks began in 2011 after receiving a CALOP grant to complete its pilot episode. Work began on a season of 10 episodes in 2012 before finally reaching completion this year.

Comic Geeks is a web series based and shot in St. Louis. The story follows three friends at various stages of comic geekery: Dan, the die-hard weekly shopper, Jeff, the indie-only cartoonist, and Brian, who struggles with reading comics and acting like an adult. Together, the three try to figure out what makes a comic geek, and how to be an adult doing it.

The event will begin with a screening of the Comic Geeks pilot followed by the premiere of the first season. Assorted cast and crew will be on hand for a brief Q&A afterward.

This event is free and open to the public.
