World-renowned hypnotist and comedian Richard Barker has spent the last 20 years entertaining audiences all over the world with his dazzling hypnosis show. He will bring his incredible talents to the Playhouse @ Westport Plaza September 6-9 for five mind-blowing shows. Barker started his career in hypnosis as a member of the United Kingdom’s elite forces known as the Royal Green Jackets.  As a specialized soldier, he was trained in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and began his journey into hypnosis learning language negotiation and persuasion skills. After his military career, Barker expanded his hypnotic skills as a police detective, helping witnesses and criminals alike to recall forgotten information.  It was also at this time that Barker started performing as much as he could to perfect his globally recognized comedy hypnosis show.  It didn’t take long before Barker became a full-time performer and sought-after entertainer.

Barker’s work can be seen on “The Today Show” where he hypnotized Natalie Morales, Al Roker and St. Louis’ own Ellie Kemper, “The Late Late Show with James Corden” where Josh Duhamel fell under his spell, “ET Entertainment Tonight,” US Weekly, Glamour Magazine, Sports Illustrated and many others.
