On Saturday CRIMSON PEAK, WARCRAFT and KRAMPUS were at Legendary Pictures’ Comic-Con panel in Hall H.

KRAMPUS, a darkly festive tale of a yuletide ghoul, reveals an irreverently twisted side to the holiday.

When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max (Emjay Anthony) is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas.  Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers.

All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own, laying siege to the fractured family’s home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to survive.

The horror-comedy also stars Adam Scott, Toni Collette, David Koechner, Allison Tolman, Conchata Ferrell, Stefania Lavie Owen and Krista Stadler.

KRAMPUS and his mischievous underlings have been created by the combined efforts of Weta Workshop and Weta Digital, both renowned for their epic work on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies and King Kong, among many others.

Written and directed by Michael Dougherty (Trick ’r Treat), KRAMPUS is co-written by Zach Shields and Todd Casey and produced by Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni, Alex Garcia and Dougherty.  The film will be released by Universal Pictures.

During the KRAMPUS panel, Adam Scott said, “It’s a really character driven dramady that I don’t think we’ve seen in quite some time.”

Mike Dougherty added, “Weta Workshop did creatures in this film. We’re very focused on practical effects with tactile attacks on the actors.”

KRAMPUS opens in theaters on December 4, 2015.

Up next was CRIMSON PEAK.

At the beginning of the panel, Guillermo del Toro announced the film will be turned into a maze at the 2015 Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood.

When her heart is stolen by a seductive stranger, a young woman is swept away to a house atop a mountain of blood-red clay: a place filled with secrets that will haunt her forever. Between desire and darkness, between mystery and madness, lies the truth behind Crimson Peak.

Actor Tom Hiddleston said, “The last 45 minutes of this film are headlong and thrilling. There’s twist after twist!”

CRIMSON PEAK opens in theaters October 16, 2015.

The final film was Duncan Jones’ WARCRAFT and this was the MUST-SEE of the panel!

The audience was surrounded by screens as Hall H was shaking. The footage shown was great – not just some, BUT ALL OF IT! The Horde invasion of Azeroth brought the house down.

From Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures comes WARCRAFT, an epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based on Blizzard Entertainment’s global phenomenon.

The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.

So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.

Directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code), the film stars Travis Fimmel, Ben Foster, Paula Patton, Ben Schnetzer, Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Toby Kebbell, Robert Kazinsky, Clancy Brown, Anna Galvin, Daniel Wu.

The 3D epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based upon Blizzard Entertainment’s globally-renowned universe will be released in 3D by Universal Pictures on Friday, June 10, 2016.
