20th Century Fox Comic-Con Panel Shows Red-Band DEADPOOL Trailer; Other Highlights Include X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, MAZE RUNNER: THE SCORCH TRIALS, VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN And FANTASTIC FOUR

20th Century Fox was the last studio at Comic-Con 2015 to show the Hall H audience a preview of their hottest films.
First up was Wes Ball’s MAZE RUNNER: SCORCH TRIALS where they showed the audience assembled in Hall H the new trailer. The scenes included a weird plant monster – think zombies with plant parts.
Ball said of the sequel, “A sense of brotherhood has always been very important to our story. You can watch these two movies back to back, and it’s really just this awesome 3 hour epic!”

Next up was the horror film VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN.

Written by Max Landis, when Dr. Victor Frankenstein (James McAvoy) and his trusted assistant Igor (Daniel Radcliffe) go too far in their noble attempts to aid humanity, Victor’s obsession turns to madness. He then unleashes his final creation –a monstrous figure that holds unimaginable terror for anyone its path.
James McAvoy said, “Like Liam Neeson in the film Taken, Victor realizes that Igor has a very particular set of skills.”

FANTASTIC FOUR next took to the stage. After the the cast talked about their characters, Fox debuted the thrilling new trailer. “What I loved about the film is the family aspect about it,” said Kate Mara. “He’s the muscle of the group, but I also consider him the heart, ” said Jamie Bell on playing The Thing. “It’s like living out a childhood dream, being a huge comic book fan, & playing such an iconic character,” exclaimed Michael B. Jordan. FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy. The film hits theaters on August 7.

The crowd erupted with the big surprise – the DEADPOOL movie trailer and actor Ryan Reynolds.
The footage shown was bloody, violent, awesome gunshots to the head, and super sweet crude humor!
The trailer received a standing ovation followed by the crowd chanting, “one more time.” Watch HERE
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
DEADPOOL hits theaters everywhere on February 12, 2016.
X-MEN: APOCALYPSE finished out Fox’s Comic-Con panel. The panel began with a video montage of entire franchise.
Hugh Jackman was first out on the stage where he said WOLVERINE 3 will be his final time with the claws.
The entire cast, plus Bryan Singer, were in Hall H to promote the film. The director shared that APOCALYPSE takes place ten years after the events of DAYS OF FUTURE PAST in 1983.
With footage from only five weeks of shooting, the 16 member panel and scenes included Professor X (a bald James McAvoy), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Psylocke (Olivia Munn) and Beast (Nicholas Hoult).
The film opens May 27, 2016.
The panel concluded with Channing Tatum (Gambit) walking out with Stan Lee for a big photo.
