Oprah, Eastwood, Moore, Cooper And Other Nominees Accept The Academy’s Invite To The Oscars Lunch 2015
Marion Cotillard, Reese Witherspoon, Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike, Felicity Jones, Oprah Winfrey, Bradley Cooper, Clint Eastwood, Richard Linklater, J.K. Simmons, Edward Norton, Emma Stone, Michael Keaton, Steve Carell, Eddie Redmayne, Patricia Arquette, Laura Dern, and Robert Duvall were among the 200 nominees gathered at the annual power lunch thrown by The Academy.
Along with host Neil Patrick Harris, actors, actresses and filmmakers were honored on Monday, February 2, at the Beverly Hilton.
The Academy also released numerous photos from the event as well as the class photo. They also ran a live blog over at Oscar.com where fans got an inside look at the Oscar Lunch.
Prior to lunch, Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs addressed the nominees. “Being nominated by your peers for an Oscar is one of the most impressive honors this industry has to offer. It also immediately makes you a unique part of Hollywood history – there are just 195 of you this year,” she said.
Show producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan gave the nominees tips about the show. Each winner has 45 seconds to say their acceptance speech before being played off by the orchestra. Craig said they were pleased last year they “didn’t have to play anyone off.”
We even got a shot of Oscar Nominee Baymax from BIG HERO 6 at today’s lunch.
