Angelina Jolie Pre-Birthday Celebration At MALEFICENT Press Conference in Shanghai
On Tuesday, MALEFICENT star Angelina Jolie took part in a press conference and photo call at the Peninsula Hotel in Shanghai, China.
Jolie wore a black Michael Kors dress and custom made, gold Christian Louboutins shoes with horn-like heels made for the Asian rollout of the film.
The Academy Award and three-time Golden Globe winner continues to be one of Hollywood’s most talented leading actresses.
Angelina Jolie made her feature film directorial debut in 2011 with the film IN THE LAND OF BLOOD AND HONEY. She is now in post-production on UNBROKEN, a drama that tells the story of the World War II hero Louis Zamperini, which she directed and is due out from Universal this Christmas.
A CLEOPATRA movie with her starring as the Egyptian Queen is still in the works. In a role made famous by Elizabeth Taylor, Jolie told British Vogue, “We’ve been working on it. There have been lots of different ideas of directors and lots of different discussions,” she said. “It’s one of those that you feel like well, maybe that’s the one you put everything into and that’s where you end it, that’s where you finish. In a great way, what could you do beyond that one?”
During the press conference, Jolie was presented with a MALEFICENT cake to celebrate her birthday. She turns 39 on June 4th.

MALEFICENT, the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic “Sleeping Beauty,” reveals the events that hardened Maleficent’s heart and drove her to curse the baby, Aurora, only to later realize that the child may hold the key to peace in the land.
The film stars Angelina Jolie as Maleficent, Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville.
