POSEIDON REX Playing at The Tivoli – Tonight Only!
Is POSEIDON REX a SHARKNADO wannabe looking to establish cult film legitimacy? POSEIDON REX looks like a throwback to the kind of low-budget schlock that went to straight-to-video in the ‘90s or premiered on the Sci-Fy network more recently. Plotwise it follows the formula: a giant creature of some type pops out of the ocean and chases screaming D-List actors around. But Titan Global Entertainment must have slightly higher hopes for POSEIDON REX because they’re sending it out to select theaters for a week. Or in the case of the St. Louis market, one night! One show to be exact and it’s tonight at 7pm at the Tivoli (6350 Delmar in The Loop • St. Louis, MO • 63130)
In POSEIDON REX, a small, secluded island off the coast of Belize suddenly finds itself terrorized by a deadly predator from the planet’s distant past, when deep-sea divers accidentally awaken an ancient evil. Jackson Slate and his team of underwater cave explorers unearth much more than long-lost Mayan treasure while plumbing the depths of a world famous blue hole. They disturb a creature that’s been hibernating for over 60,000 years – a rampaging behemoth of death and destruction not only at sea but also on land.
POSEIDON REX looks like a lot of fun and your chance to see it on the big screen is tonight and tonight only!
