86th Oscars Red Carpet Fashions
All eyes with a passion for fashion were tuned in for the Red Carpet at the 86th Academy Awards. Nominees and presenters were sparkling, spectacular and sensational at the Dolby Theater for Hollywood’s biggest night.
Our favorite of the night was Charlize Theron in a Christian Dior haute couture dress.
Here’s a look at what the Oscar winning actress wore last year.
Everyone else’s was beautiful, but with those invisible straps, Theron’s gown was off the chain.
Next up is Lupita Nyong’o in Prada. She was a gorgeous vision in the pale blue chiffon gown. “The color reminds me of Nairobi … I wanted to have a little bit of home,” the actress said. Such a success for her first awards season on the red carpet.
Two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett wore Armani Prive. The combination of sequins, tulle and Swarovski crystals was simply lovely. We saw this gown up close back stage in the press room and it was exquisite.
Jennifer Lawrence wore Dior couture. The color and shape were stunning on the young actress. Combined with her hair and makeup, she looked amazing.
This was spectacular. Kate Hudson was wearing Atelier Versace and was total perfection with the shoulder pads and plunging neckline. She looked like old-Hollywood glamour.
Hollywood’s royal couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, were outstanding on the red carpet. Pitt was wearing Tom Ford, while Jolie’s gown was from Elle Saab couture. It doesn’t get any better than this.
This whole awards season, Oscar winning actor Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves were the must-sees of every red carpet. We loved her in this beautiful pink dress from Gabriela Cadena and he hit it out of the park in his white jacket from Dolce Gabbana.
We love these two! Golden girl Kristin Chenoweth (“Wicked”) and producer Dana Brunetti (CAPTAIN PHILLIPS) looked great together on Sunday. She wore a Roberto Cavalli dress, while he was in a J Lindeberg tuxedo.
Power couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith looked vibrant and happy as they walked the carpet. Producers of the upcoming ANNIE (Christmas 2014,) she wore Versace, while he was in Berluti.
Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudekis – She looked magnificent and he so handsome.
Penelope Cruz looked like a goddess in this Giambattista Valli gown.
Glenn Close looked spectacular in this gown by Zac Posen with a matching jacket.
Alfre Woodard looked elegant at the Oscars in this navy blue gown by Badgley Mischka.
Sandra Bullock wore this spectacular Alexander McQueen gown. She looked like a movie star.
One of our favorites of the night was the arrival of Bette Midler in this red floral lace dress by Reem Acra.
Kerry Washington was beautiful in this pale mauve Jason Wu gown.
Naomi Watts was all glitz in this white sequined gown by Calvin Klein.
Julia Roberts was a stunner in this classic gown by Givenchy, haute couture.
Cheers to Idina Menzel and this black Vera Wang gown. Both were phenomenal!
Talk about dazzling. Jessica Biel was amazing in this silver-metallic embellished Chanel couture gown.
Last year’s Best Actress winner, Anne Hathaway, wore Gucci. Perfect for a presenter and it looked great on stage during the show.
Amy Adams walked the red carpet in Gucci couture. We loved her in this sophisticated look.
Kristen Bell walked the red carpet in this Roberto Cavalli gown. So pretty!
We were huge fans of Portia De Rossi’s white halter gown by Naeem Khan. Her hair was perfection!
Viola Davis “wowed” in this striking emerald green Escada gown.
We finish off this year’s red carpet fashions with this lovely Oscar de la Renta dress worn by Jennifer Garner. Her hair, makeup and silvery gown were Oscar fabulous!
