Will Forte, Bruce Dern and Stacy Keach star in this first trailer for director Alexander Payne’s NEBRASKA, from Paramount Vantage.

Looks like a lot of fun.

After receiving a sweepstakes letter in the mail, a cantankerous father (Bruce Dern) thinks he’s struck it rich, and wrangles his son (Will Forte) into taking a road trip to claim the fortune. Shot in black and white across four states, NEBRASKA tells the stories of family life in the heartland of America.

Bruce Dern was the winner of the Best Actor Award earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival. Admittedly I have a soft spot for Dern with his roles as the astronaut/caretaker in SILENT RUNNING and Tom Hanks’ next door neighbor in THE BURBS.

NEBRASKA will be in theaters November 15th.
