THE RAILWAY MAN Trailer Stars Colin Firth, Jeremy Irvine, Nicole Kidman And Stellan Skarsgård

Based on his best-selling memoir, THE RAILWAY MAN tells the extraordinary and epic true story of Eric Lomax, a British Army officer who is tormented as a prisoner of war at a Japanese labour camp during World War II. Decades later, Lomax discovers that the Japanese interpreter he holds responsible for much of his treatment is still alive and sets out to confront him, and his haunting past.

Directed by Jonathan Teplitzky (BURNING MAN), and starring Academy Award-winner Colin Firth, Jeremy Irvine, Stellan Skarsgård and Academy Award-winner Nicole Kidman, the film is a powerful tale of survival, love and redemption.

The film screened in early September at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival and distribution rights were picked up by the Weinstein Company after it’s premiere.

Firth will star in the upcoming PADDINGTON BEAR movie. Colin Firth will be the voice of Paddington Bear with Nicole Kidman cast as an evil taxidermist. For those familiar with the children’s book – Mr. and Mrs. Brown will be played by Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey) and Sally Hawkins (BLUE JASMINE).

THE RAILWAY MAN will bow in 2014.
