James Wan’s INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 Gets A New Release Date

Previously set for a late August release, Film District has announced that INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 will now frighten moviegoers on Friday the 13th… specifically September 13, 2013.

The famed horror team of director James Wan (@creepypuppet) and writer Leigh Whannell reunite with the original cast of Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye and Ty Simpkins in INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2, a terrifying sequel to the acclaimed horror film, which follows the haunted Lambert family as they seek to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world.

For those who may need a refresher, have a look at the trailer from 2011’s INSIDIOUS.

The original PG-13 horror film saw a domestic total gross of $54 million. Before INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 is released this Fall, Wan has another scarefest in store for audiences. His new thriller, THE CONJURING, will be in theaters on July 19th.
