Film District has unveiled its first poster at CinemaCon for Spike Lee’s upcoming film OLDBOY. CinemaCon is the largest gathering of cinema owners and operators from around the world. The 3rd annual Con begins today and finishes April 18th in Las Vegas.

OLDBOY is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.

Co-starring Elizabeth Olsen and Sharlto Copley, OLDBOY was directed by Spike Lee, from a script by Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, The Cell, Thor). The film was produced by Roy Lee, Doug Davison and Nathan Kahane.

On Sunday, Lee added this photo on Instagram. “The Gifted Sharlto Copley Of DISTRICT 9 And Now OLDBOY.” (http://instagram.com/sheltonjlee/)

OLDBOY will hit theaters October 11 and is just one of Film District’s movies coming out later this year. On their slate for the remainder of 2013 are INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 on September 13th and WALK OF SHAME on September 20th featuring Elizabeth Banks.

Previous releases for the first three months of 2013 were director Taylor Hackford’s PARKER starring Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez; DEAD MAN DOWN starring Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace and the Antoine Fuqua thriller, OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN, starring Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, and Melissa Leo.

Huge passion for film scores, lives for the Academy Awards, loves movie trailers. That is all.
