85th Academy Awards Nomination Predictions

Okay Oscar junkies (us included!), it’s that time of year once again, and it’s gonna be a barn-burner! 2012 was the year of Old Hollywood glory with the return of big studio films. Filmmakers took audiences on a trip to revolutionary France to meet Jean Valjean, Civil War America with an introduction to President Lincoln, on a fantasy adventure to the “Bathtub” with Hushpuppy and in the Pacific Ocean on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker.

A handful of films will take the lions share, but there’s always room for a good upset when 10 of the 24 categories are announced. Nominations for the 85th Academy Awards will be announced by the show’s host, Seth MacFarlane, and actress Emma Stone at the 5:30 a.m. PT news conference at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, where hundreds of media representatives from around the world (including WAMG) will be gathered. Below are our guesses on how the morning will go down.

The Oscar® Nominations Announcement will be streamed live on YouTube.
