New FLIGHT Poster Stars Denzel Washington

Denzel Washington is Whip Whitaker in the brand new poster for director Robert Zemeckis’ FLIGHT. The movie will make it’s World Premiere as the Closing Night Gala Selection at the 50th New York Film Festival on October 14th. Who could have dreamt that “Introducing Denzel Washington” in 1981’s  CARBON COPY would one day become Academy Award winner Denzel Washington.

In this action-packed mystery thriller, a seasoned airline pilot, who miraculously crash lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly every soul on board. After the crash, Whip is hailed as a hero, but as more is learned, more questions than answers arise as to who or what was really at fault and what really happened on that plane?

The project marks the first ever teaming of Washington and Zemeckis, while also marking a return to live-action for the director, who previously helmed such hits as “Castaway,” “Forest Gump,” “Back To The Future,” and the live-action & animated classic “Who Framed Roger Rabbit.”

FLIGHT also features John Goodman, Don Cheadle and Melissa Leo. FLIGHT will land in theaters November 2, 2012.
