Exclusive Media Announces Formation Of New US Distribution Co – EXCLUSIVE RELEASING

Exclusive Media Co-Chairmen Nigel Sinclair and Guy East today announced the launch of Exclusive Releasing, a new US distribution and aquistions company. Scott Pascucci is President and COO and Matt Brodlie is Head of Acquisitions for the new company, effective immediately.

Exclusive Releasing plans to theatrically distribute between three and four wide and platform releases per year, including select Exclusive Media-produced films as well as third-party titles. The new company will also acquire films for accelerated-window and VOD release and develop and acquire alternative content, such as concert films and music documentaries.

Exclusive Releasing President and COO Scott Pascucci will run the new company and oversee all of its operations. He most recently served as executive producer for Grove Street Productions on Martin Scorsese’s documentary feature film GEORGE HARRISON: LIVING IN THE MATERIAL WORLD. From 2001-2010, he was President of Rhino Entertainment, a division of Warner Music Group encompassing home video, soundtracks, catalog acquisitions and development, film/TV/commercial licensing, and new releases by iconic artists, during which time he oversaw the production and release of WHEN YOU’RE STRANGE, CONCERT FOR GEORGE, CREAM: ROYAL ALBERT HALL, and CROSSROADS 2004, 2007 & 2010, among others. During this time, Pascucci also led Warner Music Group’s investment in its joint venture with the Estate of Frank Sinatra and served as Co-Chairman of Frank Sinatra Enterprises.

Matt Brodlie joins the company as Head of Acquisitions and will spearhead the acquisitions of theatrical and ancillary titles. Brodlie most recently ran Paramount’s Worldwide Acquisitions Group, overseeing domestic and international acquisitions and local language productions. Recent domestic acquisitions include 2011 Sundance Grand Jury prize-winner LIKE CRAZY, and box-office hit THE DEVIL INSIDE. Previous to this, Brodlie was Senior Vice President of Production and Acquisitions for TriStar Pictures where he headed the label’s production as well as acquisitions activities, including such films as SILENT HILL and PREMONITION. Before TriStar, Brodlie was at Miramax Films for just over ten years. While at Miramax, Brodlie was involved in acquiring such films as HERO, THE QUIET AMERICAN, BARBARIAN INVASIONS, FAHRENHEIT 9/11, HOSTAGE, INFERNAL AFFAIRS, IN THE BEDROOM, RABBIT-PROOF FENCE and many independent films from America, Australia and the UK, as well as foreign language pictures from Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Helmed by Co-Chairmen Nigel Sinclair and Guy East, Exclusive Media is set to enjoy a very busy Toronto International Film Festival where the company with premiere three films in official selection – the highly anticipated END OF WATCH starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña, produced with John Lesher and director David Ayer that will world premiere as a gala screening prior to its US release on September 21^st through Open Road Films and making their North American premieres at the festival following world premiere debuts at the Venice Film Festival – Ramin Bahrani’s AT ANY PRICE starring Dennis Quaid and Zac Efron, produced by Black Bear Pictures, TreeHouse Pictures, Killer Films and Noruz Films, to be released stateside via Sony Pictures Classics and the ensemble drama DISCONNECT produced by Mickey Liddell and Jennifer Monroe of LD Entertainment and William Horberg.  Starring Jason Bateman, Hope Davis and Frank Grillo, LD Entertainment will release DISCONNECT domestically in spring 2013.

Exclusive Media’s current productions include the recently wrapped CAN A SONG SAVE YOUR LIFE? starring Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Hailee Steinfeld, Adam Levine, CeeLo Green, James Corden and Catherine Keener directed by John Carney (ONCE) and Hammer’s THE QUIET ONES directed by John Pogue and starring Jared Harris and Sam Claflin.  Also in post-production is Ron Howard’s epic RUSH starring Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl produced with production partners Cross Creek Pictures, Imagine Entertainment, Working Title, Brian Grazer, and Revolution Films with Universal Pictures set to release theatrically in the US; and SNITCH starring Dwayne Johnson and Susan Sarandon to be released by Lionsgate/Summit Entertainment; and teen action comedy SO UNDERCOVER starring Miley Cyrus.

Upcoming Exclusive Media productions include AGENT: CENTURY 21 starring Cameron Diaz and Benicio del Toro; THE WOMAN IN BLACK: ANGELS OF DEATH, a follow up to the box office hit THE WOMAN IN BLACK starring Daniel Radcliffe; and A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES starring Liam Neeson produced with Cross Creek Pictures, Double Feature Films and Jersey Films from writer/director Scott Frank.

Other third party productions which Exclusive Media represents include the Samuel Goldwyn Films domestic release on August 17^th of ROBOT & FRANK starring Frank Langella and Susan Sarandon; LOOK OF LOVE, starring Annette Bening, Ed Harris and Robin Williams currently in post-production and THÉRÈSE also from producers Liddell and Horberg, starring Elizabeth Olsen, Jessica Lange, Oscar Isaac and Tom Felton.

Additionally, Exclusive Media is handling international sales and servicing for Scott Pictures International’s slate of films, all to be produced under the Scott Pictures banner, including Lynne Ramsey’s newly announced JANE GOT A GUN written by Brian Duffield and starring Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender.
