AMC Theatres Hosts Sixth Annual Best Picture Showcase – Feb. 18 And 25

By  |

AMC Theatres (AMC) is proud to announce the sixth annual AMC Best Picture ShowcaseSM, an event which is much anticipated by movie lovers nationwide. Since 2007, AMC has offered guests the rare opportunity to experience every movie nominated for Best Picture by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for one great price.

The nine Best Picture nominees will be shown on Saturday, Feb. 18 and Saturday, Feb. 25 at more than 100 theatres in nearly every AMC market in the United States. Plus, seven select theatres will host a Best Picture movie marathon where guests can watch all nine movies back to back.

“During the past five years, the AMC Best Picture Showcase has become a tradition for many of our guests who enjoy seeing all of the Best Picture nominees the way they were intended – on the big screen,” said Stephen Colanero, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at AMC. “These are some of the most celebrated movies of the year, and we recognize that not everyone has seen all nine. Or many movie fans would perhaps like to see them again to analyze scenes, pick up on nuances or just enjoy the films in the communal environment that a theatre provides.”

The nominees are: THE ARTIST, THE DESCENDANTS, EXTREMELY LOUD & INCREDIBLY CLOSE, THE HELP, HUGO, MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, MONEYBALL, THE TREE OF LIFE, WAR HORSE
