Brand, Johansson Added To Oscar Presenter List; Watch Outtakes From Hosts Promo Shoot
Scarlett Johansson and Russell Brand will be presenters for the 83rd Academy Awards®, telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer announced today. On Sunday, Brand made a guest appearance on “The Simpsons.”
Cute, eh? Apparently the stint on SNL helped. This will be his first appearance on an Oscar show. Brand will next lend his voice to the animated feature “Hop,” and he will be seen next in the remake of “Arthur,” both out in April. His other film credits include “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” “Bedtime Stories,” “Get Him to the Greek,” “Despicable Me” and “The Tempest.” Can’t wait to see him and Katy Perry on the Red Carpet together.
Johansson, who is currently filming “We Bought a Zoo,” was most recently seen in “Iron Man 2.” Her other film credits include “The Horse Whisperer,” “Lost in Translation,” “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” “The Black Dahlia,” “The Other Boleyn Girl” and “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.”
Have a look at the hilarious outakes from the Oscar® Promo Shoot with hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2010 will be presented on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET.
