Hugh Jackman Presenter At 83rd Academy Awards & Watch Anne Hathaway and James Franco’s 2 Oscar Promos

Beverly Hills, CA – Actor Hugh Jackman has been set as a presenter for the 83rd Academy Awards ceremony, telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer announced today.

Jackman will be seen next in REAL STEEL and is attached to WOLVERINE. His other film credits include THE PRESTIGE, THE FOUNTAIN, the X-MEN trilogy, VAN HELSING, KATE & LEOPOLD, SWORDFISH and SOMEONE LIKE YOU.

He served as host of the 81st Academy Awards telecast in 2009. Jackman’s opening number saluted all the Oscar® nominated films.

I was a big fan of Jackman and Anne Hathaway’s song and dance number too. It was one of the funniest and most unexpected starts in all the years I’ve been watching the Oscars.

It was probably no surprise when AMPAS asked Hathaway to be a co-host of the 83rd Academy Awards. Have a look at ABC’s Oscar amusing tv spots featuring this year’s hosts Hathaway and Oscar nominee James Franco. I’ll be interested to see what these two have in store this year for an opening number…think it’ll include Jackman?

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2010 will be presented on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live on the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide.
