Halle Berry’s FRANKIE AND ALICE First Poster, Clips & AFI Video
Here’s the first poster for Halle Berry’s Oscar hopeful FRANKIE AND ALICE. The Hollywood Reporter said she was “spellbinding” in their review of the movie when it showed at Cannes. You’ll see what all the awards buzz on her performance is about after watching the two clips below. In the third video, the Academy Award winning actress (MONSTER’S BALL) talks about her film at the AFI Fest. Will this “based on the true-story of a woman with personality disorder” film and campaign persuade AMPAS voters into a giving Berry a second Best Actress statue?
Synopsis:
Starring Halle Berry, Stellan Skarsgaard, Chandra Wilson and Phylicia Rashad, FRANKIE AND ALICE follows a young black woman, struggling with multiple personality disorder, torn between who she is and the racist Caucasian alter-personality that preys upon her mind. This thrilling race for identity is a complex and disturbing whirlwind into the human psyche.
Produced by Berry and directed by Geoffrey Sax (WHITE NOISE), FRANKIE AND ALICE will open first in NY & LA on December 17th for Academy Awards consideration and then followed by a wider release on February 4, 2011.
