2010 Screenwriting Expo

We’re just days away from the 2010 Screenwriters Expo at the Hilton LA (Oct 7th – 10th).

Brought to you by Creative Screenwriting magazine, the Screenwriting Expo is the largest meeting of screenwriters in the world. In its’ 9^th year, this year’s Expo will bring together some of the heaviest hitters in the film industry with professional screenwriters and Hollywood execs imparting their wisdom, revealing tricks of the trade, and discussing the ever changing landscape of the business.

Highlights include:

• A Guest of Honor line-up that includes blockbuster screenwriters John August (Big Fish, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory),Jennifer Salt (Eat, Pray, Love) and Shane Black (Lethal Weapon, The Long Kiss Goodnight).
• Three New Producer Panels. Industry producers “15 Minutes with a Producer,” “Basics of Independent Film” and “How to Make Contact as a Writer.”
• The Golden Pitch Fest where screenwriters at the Expo have the chance to pitch their own original screenplays to A-list producers, studio executives, and managers in one-on-one sessions on site.
• Screenplay Contests-winners will be announced at the Expo with over $30,000 in cash prizes.
• Nightly networking parties Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
• The chance to hear and speak to producers, managers, screenwriters with blockbuster hits and critically-acclaimed films, screenwriters who are also national best-seller-list novelists, and world-famous screenwriting teachers among this year’s faculty.
