WAMG Road To The Oscars: THE RED CARPET
As Max of WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE shouted, “Let the wild rumpus start!” Boy did it ever. Today, just outside the Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood, the Red Carpet for the 82nd Academy Awards was laid out. Tomorrow I’ll be there to pick up my AMPAS credentials to cover the setup and various Academy symposiums for WAMG. I have to say, I”M STOKED!!
To accommodate the construction of press risers, fan bleachers and pre-show stages along the Academy Awards red carpet, Hollywood Boulevard was closed on Monday evening and will remain so until Tuesday, March 9th. Inside the Kodak Theatre, Oscar producers Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic were at full throttle with all the rehearsals for Sunday’s big night.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2009 will be presented on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. ET. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide.
