Golden Globe Award Winners
On an extremely rainy night in southern California, the 67th Golden Globe Awards were presented in film and tv. Upsetting to most, happily for some, AVATAR and James Cameron were the big winners with the top honors in Best Picture Drama and Best Director. Unfortunately THE HURT LOCKER and Kathryn Bigelow went home with zilch, nada, zippo, something I think Academy Voters will set to rights on Oscar Night. Coming up next in this year’s Awards Season is the Screen Actors Guild Awards show on Saturday on TBS.
As was expected, Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep, Robert Downey Jr., Mo’Nique, and Christoph Waltz took home the Golden Globe in the acting categories. THE HANGOVER won Best Motion Picture – Comedy.

Plus, if you didn’t see the show, have a gander at the moment of the night – the ultimate montage to the great Martin Scorsese, this year’s recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award…
The Globes are handed out by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association which is made up of about 90 to 100 reporters who report on entertainment news all over the world. If you’re so inclined, here’s the list of their members.
