Victor Silva Claims ‘Jeepers Creepers 3’ Still Coming

Dread Central recentaly sat down with director Victor Silva when the subject of a third entry into the ‘Jeepers Creepers’ franchise came up.  Needless to say, Silva is still adament about a third film coming together, and he had some information to dish out about the project.

The financing is just coming together, so perhaps we will be in preproduction shortly.  We have been saying this for a year now, but that’s really about all I can with any certainty.

Breck will of course don his wings once again as our favorite flying man-eater, though we have decided, after much fan feedback, to give him his truck back for the new film. Gina Phillips will be back in Jeepers Threepers (as we like to call it) playing Trisha Jenner, 23 years later, a successful business woman who has her own teenage son, Darry, named after her long lost brother.

We have decided that the third film should, like one and two, be different from each other in look and locale.

To hear Silva still excited about a new ‘Jeepers Creepers’ gets my horror fanatic’s heart pounding, too.  I love the first ‘Jeepers Creepers,’ think it is one of the best, modern horror films out there, and, while ‘Jeepers Creepers 2’ isn’t anything ground-breaking, it certainly turns on the scare factor.  That’s more than can be said for most of the horror we get today.

From Silva’s description, it doesn’t sound like he’s going back to the idea of setting the film in the Old West, something he had been talking about for years.  Dread Central also states in the article that, while Silva referred to the film as ‘Jeepers Threepers,’ it is more likely the film’s title will be ‘Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral.’
