WAMG Exclusive Confirmed: Chow Off ‘Green Hornet’

In news that is confirming something We Are Movie Geeks brought to your attention nearly four months ago, Stephen Chow is officially off the ‘Green Hornet’ project.   We spoke with Seth Rogen back in March at the premiere of ‘Observe and Report’ and asked him about the project.

This is what he had to say back then:

At this point no one is for sure confirmed for the film.   Stephen Chow has made it very obvious that he is pursuing other films, so who knows if he will be involved or not.

Reports are coming out today that a casting call is out to fill the role of Kato.   They are currently looking for an Asian-American between 20 and 45.   The actor they are seeking doesn’t even need to have martial arts experience.

Chow was initially in the director’s chair on ‘Green Hornet.’   He stepped down and Michel Gondry filled the seat.   Chow was believed to be playing Kato until Rogen told us the news you see above.   Today, our scoop has been confirmed.
