‘Grace’ Gets Theatrical Bow Courtesy of Anchor Bay
For those of us who missed ‘Grace’ at the film festivals in which it ran, we were under the assumption we would have to wait for DVD to see it. However, thanks to Anchor Bay Entertainment, those of you who live in New York and Los Angeles will get your chance to see it on the big screen. The company has picked up the rights to the film, and they plan on releasing it in theaters in the coastal cities as early as next month.‘Grace’ tells the story of a mother-to-be whose unborn child dies. She decides to carry the baby to term, yet, after the delivery, the baby miraculously comes back to life. Unfortunately for all involved, the baby has developed an appetite for human blood.
This is a film that has piqued my interest ever since I heard the very first inklings of what it was about. It helped tremendously that everything I’ve seen from the film since has just built that anticipation up. I still have the promotional baby bottles they were handing out at South By Southwest prominently on my bookshelf.
Anchor Bay’s plan is to release the film on August 14th followed shortly by a DVD street date of September 15th.
