Zombie’s ‘El Superbeasto’ is Coming to DVD/Blu-Ray

It’s been awhile since we heard any news on the front of ‘The Haunted World of El Superbeasto,’ Rob Zombie’s twisted foray into the world of animation.  With ‘Halloween II’ getting fast-tracked, it looked like ‘El Superbeasto’ was quite a ways off from seeing the light of day.  Fortunately, the film is coming out, and it is coming out in just a few, short months.

According to DVD Active, the film is set for DVD and Blu-Ray releases on September 22nd.  They even have images of the cover art, which you can scope out just below.

‘El Superbeasto’ is about a washed-up Mexican luchador (voice of Tom Papa) who, along with his sidekick Suzi-X (voice by Sheri Moon Zombie), sets out to do battle with the diabolical Dr. Satan (voice by Paul Giamatti).  Look for cameo appearances by Captain Spaulding and Otis from Zombie’s ‘House of 1000 Corpses’/’Devil’s Rejects’ films. Other voices that pop up in the film include Rosario Dawson, Danny Trejo, Clint Howard, Harland Williams, Dee Wallace, Brian Posehn, and Daniel Roebuck. We Are Movie Geeks best she-friend, Tura Satana, also makes an appearance as Varla.

‘The Haunted World of El Superbeasto’ hits the DVD shelves on September 22nd.
