Van Damme, Vinnie Jones butt heads in ‘Weapon’

Get ready to add another historic match-up of kick-ass action stars to your list of masculine must-see movies. Jean Claude Van Damme and Vinnie Jones will play two rival assassins who must join forces in a new action movie called ‘Weapon’. Van Damme will portray a killer skilled with the blade while Jones will play the part of an expert sniper. The two professional hit-men end up working together to take down the head of a drug cartel for the DEA.

‘Weapon’ is set to begin production in the area of Vancouver, California this August. The film will be directed by Russell Mulcahy (Resident Evil: Extinction). As if the thought of Van Damme and Jones working together wasn’t exciting enough, I find Mulcahy to be a great choice for such a project. He’s best known for directing ‘Highlander’ and ‘Highlander 2: The Quickening’ which happen to be the two best in the franchise and makes Mulcahy one of the very short list of directors who have been able to pull a decent performance out of Christopher Lambert.
