‘Phillip Morris’ Gets a Distributor

Consolidated Pictures Group, evidently, loves Phillip Morris, as well. Â  The production and distribution company has picked up ‘I Love You Phillip Morris’ for domestic release.

The film stars Jim Carrey as a married conman who, after spending some time in prison, falls in love with his cellmate played by Ewan McGregor. Â  The film was written and directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (‘The Bad News Bears’ and ‘Bad Santa’).

Consolidated, which launched at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, is planning to release the film next year on Valentine’s Day. Â  Oddly enough, director/producer/writer Luc Besson is serving as executive producer.
