Latest ‘Green Lantern’ Casting Rumor

One of the 19 films coming out this Summer that we say you have to see (without fear of losing us as a friend, that is) is ‘The Hangover.’   Embargo be damned, because everyone who has seen the film say it is absolutely hysterical and that the film’s star, Bradley Cooper, comes into his own as a leading man.   Well, this idea of Cooper being a leading man might be leaping into reality quicker than we think.

Hitfix is reporting Cooper is the frontrunner to play the Green Lantern for director Martin Campbell.   Nothing is set in stone, and no contracts have been signed, but this is as close to a casting announcement we’ve had thus far for ‘The Green Lantern.’

According to Hitfix, the pre-production process is far enough along that this is more than just a meeting or Cooper’s name on someone’s wish list.   Warner wants to begin filming later this Summer, so we could be just days away from getting some kind of official word that Cooper will be donning the green suit and power ring.
