‘Ghostopolis’ haunts Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman seems to be remaining comfortable in the arena of comic books. Jackman will produce and star in ‘Ghostopolis’, a new graphic novel by Doug TenNapel. His graphic novels have been popular with studios looking for source material to adapt into movies, having his books ‘Tommysuarus Rex’ picked up by Universal, ‘Creature Tech’ by New regency and ‘ Monster Zoo’ by Paramount.

The story feels kind of like Men in Black meets Hellboy, as it follows an agent for the government’s Supernatural Immigration Task Force who must track down ghosts that have entered our world and send them back to Ghostopolis. When a living boy accidentally ends up on the other side, the agent must work with a female agent and former lover to retrieve the boy from Ghostopolis.

‘Ghostopolis’ is being developed under Disney. The project does not yet have a writer or director attached.
