‘Where the Wild Things Are’ Gets a New Poster

Here you see the new poster for Spike Jonze’s adaptation of ‘Where the Wild Things Are.’ Â  All in all, it’s an okay poster, but I much prefer the one released last month. Â  That one seemed like it had more of the tone of Jonze’s film down, while the one above looks almost like a poster for a ‘Labyrinth’ remake. Â  Plus, the tagline in this new poster doesn’t really go with the imagery at all.

Regardless, ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ is one of the mos anticipated films of the year. Â  I remember hearing about test screenings for it in LA in late 2007, so the expectation level has been building for a long, long time. Â  I still don’t buy the October 16th release. Â  Release this thing at Christmas, maybe even Christmas day. Â  Nothing like reliving your childhood on the big screen after eating a big bowl of cranberry sauce and opening presents.
