Tribeca 2009 Preview: ‘The Girlfriend Experience’

When we rocked Sundance this year there was a special Steven Soderbergh event planned where he was going to screen parts of ‘The Girlfriend Experience’ starring porn star Sasha Grey. Well it turned out to be a screening of the work in progress version of ‘The Girlfriend Experience’ followed by a Q&A. I must say that I was more than impressed by the movie, and by Sasha Grey’s acting chops, that’s saying she has to do much acting playing a high priced call girl.

Soderbergh shot the entire thing on Red and its looks spectacular, especially highlighting all of Sasha’s features, which are bountiful.

We are going to get the full version at Tribeca this year and I am pretty excited to see exactly what has changed between the versions. Here is a more full synopsis from IMDB:
