Sofia Coppola returns to ‘Somewhere’

Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation), one of my favorite young and talented directors, is returning to work with her new film called ‘Somewhere’ which she wrote and will direct. The movie will be set at the iconic Chateau Marmont in Hollywood.

Focus Features is producing the film, which is a dramedy that tells the story of a young actor living at the Chateau Marmont when his 11-year old daughter visits him unexpectedly, causing him to reflect on how he lives his life.

‘Somewhere’ will star Brad Dorff and Elle Fanning. The movie is a sort of family project, as Sofia will also produce with brother Roman through American Zoetrope, and father Francis Ford Coppola will also executive produce.
