Official Trailer for Lars von Trier’s ‘Antichrist’ is unleashed.

Ooooh…Originality.   It tastes so good.   Lars von Trier has brought us the Bjork film ‘Dancer in the Dark’ along with ‘Dogville’ and it’s follow-up film ‘Manderlay’.   Most movie geeks will know one of those films.   I know him from his excellent Danish mini-series ‘The Kingdom’ (‘Riget’ in it’s native language).   It was creepy, humorous and memorable.   Not only did the series spawn a sequel (or 2nd mini-series), but in true hollywood fashion, it was remade as ‘Stephen King’s KINGDOM HOSPITAL’.   Yeah, you heard that right.   King loved the series so much he bought the rights and slapped his name on it.   But that is a different coversation.

‘Antichrist’ seems to be your “cabin in the woods” movie but with more of a nature-gone-wrong attitude.   Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg (Gondry’s ‘The Science of Sleep’) star.   According to the IMDB page, they are the only 2 actors in this film.

Below, you will find the trailer  cut for Danish audiences (no subs, don’t worry) for it’s new release date in May.   No word yet of a US release, but I’m sure we will get one soon.   Enjoy the dread & leave your comments below.

Hmmm, I'm going to stop while I'm ahead. Favorite Films: Halloween (1978), La Haine, Vertigo, Rosemary's Baby, Fight Club, Nightmare on Elm Street, Kidnapped (Rabid Dogs), The Blair Witch Project..and the list just keeps growing.
