Director
‘Odysseus’ gets direction from Warner Bros
Warner Brothers will develop a legendary tale into a feature film based on a spec script from Ann Peacock (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) called ‘Odysseus’. Gianni Nunnari (300) will produce and the studio has brought on Jonathan Liebesman (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) to direct.
The story focuses on Odysseus, the king of Ithica, who after twenty years of fighting in the Trojan War, returns home to find his kingdom occupied by brutal invaders.
The concept sounds pretty straight forward and, assuming the script is sound and the direction holds up and a solid cast in put in place, ‘Odysseus’ should please audiences, because… Who doesn’t like Greek mythology?
