Miramax and Focus Features have picked up the rights to remake the French thriller, ‘Tell No One.’ Kathleen Kennedy is on board to produce.
The film tells the story of a pediatrician whose wife was brutally murdered eight years prior. In the present, he receives an email with a picture of a woman who is clearly his wife alive today. This sets in motion a series of thrilling events.
The film was a surprise hit last year, and made over $6 million in the U.S. market. That is quite a feat for a foreign film that only received play in indie chain theaters like Landmark. The film made over $33 million worldwide.
Miramax has acquired the domestic rights to the remake, while Focus Features will distribute the film internationally. No writer or director have been attached to the film yet.
