Even Brittany Murphy is ‘Expendable’

Stallone’s newest cinematic adventure just keeps getting more interesting. And, it seems he’s much more attractive to his fellow Hollywood-ites as a filmmaker than I had originally expected.

The Nu Image/Millenium Films co-production will star and be directed by Sylvester Stallone from his own script, as if you didn’t already know that. Now they’ve added two more names to the surprisingly big name cast.

Along with David Zayas (Michael Clayton, Savages), Brittany Murphy (Sin City) has signed on to the film. She joins the already noteworthy cast of Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Danny Trejo, Terry Crews and Randy Couture.

Brittany Murphy will play the role of a singer and Stallone’s girlfriend. The role apparently also included a singing performance. David Zayas will play the dictator that the badass team must “take out”.

Screw it! I’m just going to come out and say that I am pumped about seeing this movie. I honestly can’t remember ever saying that before about a new Stallone release in my adult life. Wow! I guess there IS a first for everything.
