Another graphic novel is being adapted into a movie before it even hits news stands. Brad Pitt’s Plan B and Paramount are developing the graphic novel ‘Battling Boy’ into a feature film.

‘Battling Boy’ was written and illustrated by Paul Pope. It tells the story of the son of a god who is sent down to the massive city of Monstropolis by his father to get rid of the beats that are plaguing the area.

The graphic novel will be published this spring by First Second Books. Paramount have brought on Alex Tse (Watchmen) to adapt the book into a screenplay. Tse is also adapting ‘Ninja Scroll’ and ‘Ray Bradbury’s ‘The Illustrated Man’ into feature films and working on Michael Mann’s ‘Frankie machine’.
