Adaptations
‘2 Guns’ for ‘Brotherhood’ creator Blake Masters
Blake Masters, creator of the Showtime original series ‘Brotherhood’, has been brought on to adapt ‘2 Guns’ for Universal. The property is a graphic novel published by Boom! Studios and was written by Steven grant and illustrated by Mat Santolouco.
The book is a crime thriller that follows a DEA agent and an undercover Naval Intelligence Officer who are investigating each other. The catch is that they don’t know this and they’ve also been stealing mafia money, eventually realizing they’ve been duped into stealing a big lump of cash from the CIA.
Apparently, the idea is for the film adaptation to be reminiscent of 1980’s buddy cop movies such as ‘Lethal Weapon’. The project is being produced by Marc Platt along with Boom! co-founders Andrew Cosby and Ross Richie.
