Scott- Pre Day 1 of SXSW Film Festival 2009 was pretty uneventful unless you count the 13 hour drive it took us to get here, and the Taco Tico we ate on the way up. Once we got in town we set out to get our press badges, check in at the place we are staying and try to get some drinks. We met up with the Cinevegas and Film Threat guys at Buffalo Billiards..super nice dudes. We ate some food and then headed back to the place to crash.

Jeremy – Highlight of the day had to be the Taco Tico.   After hearing about it numerous times on Stern from Richard Christy, I knew I couldn’t pass it up.   I highly recommend the Tico Sliders, mini-burgers with taco meat.   The drive down wasn’t all that bad considering we were in the car for 13-plus hours.   Austin is rainy, but I can already tell it’s a pretty sweet town with tons of stuff to do.   Wanted to hang out with Don from Film Threat and at Buffalo Billiards longer but, after so long in the car, it was hard keeping my eyes open while downing my second Blue Moon.   Don’t believe what they tell you about how hot Texas is.   It gets freezing cold at night.
