‘Saw VI’ News Begins

Shawnee Smith’s Amanda will be returning to the ‘Saw’ franchise. Â  Apparently, much like Heroes or any good comic book, no one really dies in the ‘Saw’ films. Â  They just get relegated to flashbacks.

The news of her return comes from producer Mark Burg on the film’s official site. Â  Burg also states, “There are several new characters. Â  Also, this movie is a lot more violent than the previous five. Â  Lastly, we have traps that pit victims against each other like the opening of ‘Saw V’. Â  Could be the best script yet!”

Okay, I wasn’t sold, but the guy put the exclamation point at the end of that last statement, and how can you argue with a nicely placed exclamation point? Â  You can’t, that’s how.

Also, this guy, Mark Burg, has been producer of all the ‘Saw’ films from ‘II’ up. Â  Notice his statement about the traps pitting victims against one another “like the opening of ‘Saw V'”. Â  Yeah, ‘Saw V’ didn’t do that. Â  The opening of ‘Saw V’ had a guy getting killed by a pendulum. Â  These movies are running together so much even the producers are having a hard time keeping them separate.

I’m actually a fan of the ‘Saw’ films, people, and even I am getting sick of the nonstop barrage of ‘Saw’ films and claims that this next one is going to be the “best one yet”. Â  No. Â  The next one is not going to be the best ‘Saw’ film yet. Â  That will forever be the first film, and no amount of violence or twists is going to change that.
